Always an early adopter with food trends, Starbucks has jumped on the bento craze with their new Bistro Boxes. I was pretty excited to try one, so excited I passed on slurping soup above my keyboard while answering emails to actually pull myself from my desk and LEAVE THE OFFICE for lunch. At $6.95 I didn’t exactly feel like I was scoring a deal and I don’t think separating the components of a lettuce wraps into compartments qualifies as a bento box, but whatever. I bought it, I ate it, it kind gave me a belly ache because peanuts and I aren’t the best of friends. I’m guessing I’ll try one again sometime. They are incredibly convenient.
